Abstract
(Chemical Equation Presented) The unique reactivity of silylated propargyltungsten and -molybdenum species with electrophiles provides a route to synthetically useful compounds. In the reaction with aldehydes, 1,4-dioxy-1,3-dienes or, when conducted in the presence of Et3Al, silylated furans were generated in good yield. In reactions with enones or CO2, allenyl silane derivatives and silylated butenolides were obtained in good yield.
