Abstract

Liquid hydrogen is the simplest molecular-liquid known as a quantum liquid. This liquid hydrogen is treated as a nonlinear Raman medium and carried out stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) experiments in a droplet. It is shown that the cavity Q-value exceeding 109 is readily obtainable. It is demonstrated that the SRS generates many multiple-order sideband series through vibrational and rotational coherences covering the whole UV-visible spectral region from 200 nm to 1,000 nm, leading to a super wideband optical comb generator.
