抄録

A 20-years old-man, who had suffered from Crohn's disease in the large intestine, was admitted to our hospital because of abdominal pain, fever, dysphagia, and chest pain on swallowing. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopic examination revealed punched-out ulcers along the whole esophagus and the bamboo-like appearance in the upper body of the stomach. Non -caseating granulomas were detected in the biopsy specimens from these lesions. Therapy with proton pump inhibitor relieved dysphagia and chest pain, and the following therapy with elemental diet and mesalazine improved esophageal ulcers.
