N2 - In this paper, we address a simultaneous optimization framework for product family configuration and supply chain planning. The customer determines the product family configuration and the manufacturer determines the supply chain planning. A conceptual model is developed for the simultaneous optimization of product family configuration and supply chain planning incorporating customer’s behavior. The effectiveness of the proposed model is investigated.
