N2 - This paper presents the algorithm of extracting contour nodes under two-dimension and three-dimension with the use of self-organizing networks, which is called Growing Neural Gas (GNG). The system imitates how to get the contour nodes in binary image. And, this algorithm also includes getting contour nodes with angle information for dealing with GNG system. Therefore, the algorithm consists of their two methods. The proposed method can get the contour nodes exactly compared with advance literature.
