(Figure Presented) Guest-responsive framework: Gas adsorption into a metal-organic porous material was studies in situ. Structure analysis of empty phase I, intermediate phase M as a metastable state of gas adsorption, and saturated phase S showed rearrangement of guest molecules and framework transformation in response to guest size, shape, and amount. The picture shows these changes for the superimposed phases M and S.
