N2 - We developed a new reaction for the one-pot synthesis of a fused cyclic compound from triphenylguanidine, which was thought to be tandem cyclization, with a moderate yield. In this reaction, conditions such as the metal reagent, oxidant, solvent, and ligand affected whether single or tandem cyclization was preferred.
